Barter/Trade
Why Barter/Trade
Barter and trade aren’t “old-school”—they’re strategic tools for business owners who want to grow faster and conserve cash. When used correctly, bartering can create momentum, expand capacity, and accelerate revenue without increasing financial strain.
Why I Barter/Trade
I’m open to barter when:
You have a real skill, asset, or product that I’d otherwise pay cash for
We can both win without either side feeling discounted or taken advantage of
The value is clear and tied to business or life outcomes, not just “exposure”
Barter lets us both leverage what we already have to get what we need next.
What I’m Open to Trade For
Examples of things I’m typically interested in trading for:
Professional services
Legal, bookkeeping, tax strategy
High-level marketing / media buying
Branding, photography, video, copywriting
Business assets
Quality leads or booked appointments in my target markets
Advertising space (email lists, podcasts, niche sites, publications)
Sponsored promotion or exposure in the right communities
Real-world value
Real Estate, Autos/Trucks, Planes, Motorcycles, BMX Bikes, Collectibles, Lodging, Travel, or event access that aligns with my work
High-end skills or deliverables that would normally command strong fees
What I Offer in a Barter
Depending on the scope and value, I may trade:
A done-for-you website or funnel (design, setup, basic automation)
Strategy sessions around iT, cybersecurity, systems, or scaling
A short-term coaching or advisory block (e.g., 4–8 weeks)
Ransomware readiness and recovery planning at a high level
vCIO / vCOO style guidance for structure, KPIs, and execution
I treat barter work with the same standard as paid work. The only difference is what you’re paying with.
Is Barter Right for You?
Barter might be a fit if:
You’re strong in one area and weak in another
Cash is tight, but your skills or assets are strong
You’re ready to move quickly and treat the project like a real business engagement
If you just want “cheap” or “free,” this probably isn’t for you.
